  • SkiTube Train Pass: The SkiTube is a train that runs on Sunday especially for L’Étape Australia. The SkiTube runs every 30 minutes (20 minutes at peak times) between the Start/Village at Bullocks Flat, Crackenback and the Race Finish at Perisher. See the Riders Guide for the timetable.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS

Riders can book as individuals and can vie for the Yellow, Green, Polka Dot and White Tour de France jerseys.

While professional and semi-professional riders can compete, only amateur riders qualify for the Tour de France jerseys.

TEAMS

As in the Tour de France, teams for L’Étape Australia will consist of nine riders. The total time of the first three riders in the team across the line will be counted towards the Team Prize. The Team Leader will need to register and pay for the team to secure the team entry, and will then be provided with codes for other team members to register their individual details for the event.

Race Team (minimum nine riders):$335 per rider

Ride Team (minimum nine riders):$305 per rider

GROUPS

Groups of more than nine riders can enter, however only the first three riders’ times will be counted. Group Leaders of ten or more riders will need to fill in a separate form to register and pay to secure the team entry.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE AND PEDAL POWER ACT MEMBERSHIP OFFER

Personal accident insurance is not included in the L’Étape Australia registration fee. We have planned out the course and the day to be as safe as possible, but accidents do happen. All participants in L’Étape Australia are encouraged to look for personal accident insurance suitable for competing in an event such as L’Étape Australia. This insurance is optional but highly recommended.

A special membership agreement with Pedal Power ACT has been negotiated that will provide 12 month membership and, with that, Australia’s most comprehensive personal accident insurance cover whilst on the bike (for the event and for the 12 months from registration) for only $64.00 (normal price $80).
